Helen Marguerite Napolitano, 49, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, July 24, 2018, in Farmington, New Mexico. She was born on December 16, 1968, in Seoul, South Korea.
She attended Farmington High School, where her academic achievements earned her the Chief Manuelito Award, a prestigious academic scholarship awarded by the Navajo Nation. She continued her education at the University of New Mexico graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
She first practiced in Albuquerque and then moved to the Phoenix area, where she helped manage pharmacy store operations. She was invaluable to her patients (knowing all of them on a first name basis) and to her company. She played a big role in helping make one of her stores “Food Store of the Year” with her customer service standards and the building of her pharmacy business. She was active in the launch of community health screenings and was very active in various charity and volunteer programs. She encouraged and supported young students, especially those of Navajo heritage, to further their education in both Science and the Arts.
She was preceded in death by her father, LTC Franklyn Wayne McCabe, Sr., in 1975.
She is survived by her son, Preston Robert Cleaver, and her mother, Rowena Yazzie McCabe, both of Farmington. She is also survived by her brother, Franklyn Wayne McCabe, Jr., of Washington, District of Columbia.
