Jimmy (James) Penrod

"Penrod" James, Jim, Jimmy, 78, passed to his heavenly home on July 12, 2021.
He was at home surrounded by many family members who loved him dearly.
Jim was born in Price, UT on 12/13/1942 to Verl and Marion Penrod.
His mother (Marion) passed 06/04/1945. He was raised by his grandparents Hilda and Wilbur Wilson. They moved to Farmington, N.M. in 1948.
Jim enjoyed fishing, boating, and visiting with family and friends. He could fix most anything. He and his friend (Dennis Laughter) together could build a house.
At the age of 14, Jim began working in the oilfield as a derrick hand. By the time he was 28 years old, he had been a driller for several years. In 1970, he went to work for El Paso Natural Gas. He was employed there until he retired in 1996.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents & grandparents, sister (Charlotte), grandson (Bailey Daniel Penrod) and life long friends Scottie and Rosetta Barr.
Jim is survived by Daisy (Knoll) Penrod, his beloved wife of 35 years. Sons James and Paul. Daughters Michelle, Starla, and Carla. 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and many more relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service for Jim will be held August 5th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, 1221 E. 20th St., Farmington, N.M., 87401.
A Graveside Service will be immediately following at Kirtland Cemetery, 59 Road 6580, Kirtland, N.M., 87417.
