Lex Hawk

Lex W. Hawk age 56 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 12, 2019 at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, New Mexico. Lex was born June 20, 1962 to La Vita and Norman Hawk in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Lex married Roxanna Hawk on November 1, 1986 in Farmington New Mexico. Lex is survived by his wife Roxanna Hawk, daughter Lexis Bounds and grandson Bane Bounds. He is also survived by his mother La Vita Hawk and three siblings, his sisters Letta and Lisa and his brother Lewis. Lex’s father, Norman Hawk preceded him in death in 2007.



Lex always had a passion for racing. He and his dad built and raced stock cars for many years. He later was injured while racing in a way that kept him from continuing his passion. Though disabled from his accident Lex learned to work around his disability. In recent years Lex has helped build and mechanic race cars for others. One would say that Lex was a master mechanic. Lex always found a way to have fun in life. He was a major prankster and jokester and enjoyed a good laugh. Lex always loved his animals. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His grandson Bane was the joy of his life. When Lex was working around his shop he would allow Bane to follow right along beside him. There was no doubt that God and family was the most important thing in Lex’s life.



There will be a viewing at the Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W Apache St, Farmington at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 15 2019. There will be a memorial service at the First Baptist Church Aztec, 700 Navajo Ave. in Aztec at 4:00 pm on Saturday June 22, 2019
