Albert Lee

April 29, 1944 — April 3, 2023

Albert H Lee, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went to be with the Lord on April 3rd, 2023. He passed from this life peaceably surrounded by his family.

Albert was fortunate to have four loves in his life - God, family, his career and the outdoors. He loved God and served him faithfully, leading by example and his attitude toward his fellow man. He shared that love with his family and Sundays were always a family day. Food was also extremely important to him; he loved to gather it, hunt it, grow it, cook it, share it and eat it. In addition, he was extremely fortunate to find an occupation that he enjoyed, dearly. His time on this earth as a journeyman lineman gave him great pleasure and he made a good living for his family. His time with La Plata Electric in Durango, Colorado from 1976 until 2003 generated plenty of entertaining stories which he loved to share. With his children, Albert made sure they were trained and equipped to be hunters and enjoy the outdoors in a safe and respectful manner. He also loved running and ran both the Kendall Mountain and the Imogene Pass races. As age took its toll, the mountains changed to the desert and with his beloved dog Sashi, he would explore northwest New Mexico.

Albert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Opal Lee; his brother, Eugene Lee; and his sister, Frances Lee.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joy Lee; his sons, Timothy (Amanda) Lee, and Mark (Holly) Lee; his daughters, Elizabeth (Jeff) Jackson, and Mary (Marlin) Nossaman; his brothers, Stanley Lee and Emery Lee; his sisters, Jean Pullman and Elaine Balderrama; his grandchildren, Cody and Chris Miera, Tristan, Colton, and Ashton Lee, Hannah and Hayden Lee, Alicia, Emilee and Caleb Nossaman; and his great-grandchild, Noah Ware.

The family has followed his wishes and his earthly remains have been cremated. Date and location for a memorial will be announced at a later date. If you would like to donate, please do so to your local Hospice. The professional care given through his final days was exceptional and a great comfort for his family.
