Amanda Louise Garcia

September 22, 1971 — February 14, 2026

Farmington, New Mexico

Amanda Louise Garcia, born September 22, 1971, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, at the age of 54.

She was the beloved daughter of E.E. "Larry" Garcia and Janeanne Garcia (also known as Bodine Jones). Amanda is survived by her proud and loving parents, and brothers Tommy Lynch (wife Patty) and Charlie Lynch, who she adored. She is also survived by nieces Jamie Lynch and Misty Jolley (partner Cynthia) and nephew Zach Lynch (wife Renata). She was preceded in death by her brother J. Pat Lynch. She enjoyed a large extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of outstanding friends.

A proud graduate of Farmington High School and New Mexico State University, Amanda built a multifaceted career. She worked for major newspapers in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and New Mexico from 1995 to 2010. She found her true calling in 2010 as a teacher for Farmington Municipal Schools, where she poured her heart into her students and truly loved the classroom. In addition, she owned and operated a small business conducting home appraisals.

Amanda treasured her family and friends deeply and lived with passion-always eager to explore new experiences and share them with those around her. She was devoted to her loved ones and brought warmth and curiosity to every moment. Her Grandmother Isabelle Garcia (Grandma Donie) and her aunt Bertie were instrumental in her values and life at The Yard.

She is also survived by her longtime companion, Dale Harrison.

Amanda received exceptional care and support from her special cousins and caregivers, Cruzan Dobbs and Gina Sanchez, to whom the family is profoundly grateful.

A celebration of Amanda's life is being planned for May 16, 2026 (brother J. Pat's birthday) at the Elks Lodge in Farmington, NM as well as a celebration during the annual Santo Nino Family Reunion in Gobernador, NM on August 1, 2026. All family and friends are invited to both events.
