Angelina Valencia, age 87, went to be with our heavenly father on January 16, 2026 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Angie is survived by her sister Lonnie Spero, grandsons Jason Anderson (Renee Anderson), Boomer Anderson (Sharla Anderson), and great grandchildren Jayden, Jayce, Brody, and Ryley Anderson, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Benny Valencia, son Freddie Sanchez, and daughter Theresa Wright, and siblings Vivian, John, Dave, and Felix.
Angie was born on November 15, 1938 in Durango Colorado to loving parents Bertha and King Duran. She graduated Farmington High school in 1957. She then met and married Benny Valencia in January of 1977. She worked and raised her family, retiring from El Paso Natural Gas Company.
Angie was a devout Christian and knew that when she left this earth she was going to a better place. She was confident that her loved ones would recognize her as one of their own. Although we will miss her so much, we knew that she was ready to go meet her savior, and is no longer in any pain. Angies gentle spirit and generous soul will always be remembered. Her legacy of faith and love will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of life will be held on March 21, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., at The Journey Church 1901 E. Murray Drive in Farmington. Pastor David Florez will officiate the ceremony. Please come and celebrate Angie's life and share the wonderful memories and impact she had on you. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support.
