Ava "Donna" Kilough

Our beloved Ava "Donna" Kilough left this world behind to be with her Heavenly Father. 

After a courageous battle with cancer, she took her last breath on the morning of March 9, 2026, with her husband of 54 years by her side. 

She was born Ava Donna Smith to parent's Donald Smith and Eva Smith (later Tinney) on February 17, 1954, in Houston, TX. 

That is where she met and later married the love of her life Thomas A. Kilough November 15, 1971.

Donna devoted her life to her family. Everyone that knew her would describe her as the sweetest, most gentle lady they ever knew. She quietly encouraged others and lifted them up with her wisdom, love and amazing hugs. 

Her greatest joy in life was being with family and friends cooking, painting, fishing and her soul-deep love of being in, on, or around any body of water.

She is now reunited and rejoicing in Heaven with her mother Eva Tinney; brother Robert Smith; father Donald Smith; grandparents; stepfather Herman Tinney; and so many more. 

Left behind to be reunited one day in God's perfect timing are her husband Thomas Kilough; daughters and their husbands Melody Kilough (Robert McInnes) & LaDonna McInnes (Jesse McInnes); her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, granddaughter Brittny and husband Kiko Trujillo; grandson's Ethan McInnes and Wynn McInnes; great granddaughters Karlie Meketi, and Brylie Williams; her sisters Debbie Filban, Terry Pemberton; her siblings-in-law; nieces; nephews and countless more that she loved beyond words.

 Donna will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the lives of those who cherished her. 

Donna's wish was for her loved ones and close friends to celebrate her life at a later time of their choosing.
