Barbara Gail Payne

Barbra Gail "Foster" Payne age 67, went to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, June 11th, 2022. Barbara was born in Denver, Colorado on November 16th 1954 to Betty and Lawrence (Doc) Foster. Barbara was proceeded in death by her husband of 33 years Lance Payne, her parents Doc and Betty Foster.

She is survived by her sister Sherry Thomas (Mike) Her best friend of 52 years Cindy Slade, 8 children Wendell Cockrell, Willie Cockrell (Kim),

Tobey Cockrell (Natane), Tim Cockrell, Heather Baker (Dave), Dudley Payne (Nicole), Holly Payne (Chris), and Jessica Payne. A Nan to 28 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren who she adored. She was very proud of all her kids and grandkids and always encouraged the best for them. Barbara grew up in Kirtland and was a proud graduate of Kirtland high school, class of 1972. She was looking forward to celebrating her 50 year class reunion. Barbara was such a kind and generous lady who enjoyed serving and doing for others. Barbara was a retired dog groomer, she loved dogs especially her two standard poodles she could talk about for hours Henry and Millie. Barbara had a very special place in her heart for kids, together Barbara and Lance welcomed 22 foster children in their home. Barbara knew no strangers and was always willing to give whatever was needed. Barbara was truly one of a kind and will be missed by all.

Pallbearers are Willie Cockrell, Tobey Cockrell, Tim Cockrell, Dudley Payne, Dave Baker, and Chris Mulnix, Honory pallbearers, Josiah Sletta, Aiden Cockrell, Nathan Cockrell, Jason Cockrell, William Cockrell, Caleb Cockrell, and Law Ryder Payne Services will be held Saturday June 18th at 10:00 at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kirtland 473 CR 6100 with the burial to follow at the Kirtland Cemetery
