Benjamin Manuel Prado

Benjamin Manuel Prado, 93, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on January 4, 2023.  Benjamin was born in Blanco, NM on September 17, 1929 to Raphael and Jacoba Prado.  Benjamin is survived by his sons Clifford, Roger (Dolores), Ralph (Irene) and Karl (Kim); daughters Dona (Patrick) and Carmen (Corey); and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Benjamin was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Doreen; 2 brothers, 4 sisters, sons Bennett Prado and Lawrence Prado, daughter-in-law Ena Prado, and his grandchildren Patrick Montoya, Jr. and Aria Meeks.  Benjamin served in the U.S. Army from 1948-1952 and then had a successful career as a truck owner and operator.  He loved gardening, fishing, and having a good time.  He was a beloved member of the Blanco community and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services for Benjamin will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church in Blanco, NM.  A rosary and eulogy will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 7:00pm.  A Catholic funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, January 14, 2023, with a reception to follow in the St. Rose Community Hall.  His care has been entrusted to Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W.
