Bertha Sandoval

February 5, 1947 — December 12, 2025

Bertha Sandoval loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and auntie passed away surrounded by her loved ones on December 12, 2025. She fought a courageous hard battle against cancer.

She was born and raised in Santa Rosa, New Mexico to parents Joe and Abelina Sena. She started a family in 1964, and moved constantly around the state, she always made the best of the challenges of moving with 3 kids.

She was very close to her Catholic faith, which guided her life and gave her strength, comfort and peace throughout the years.

She spent time working at the Excalibur and Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She loved to clean, travel, whether it was taking a road trip, bus trip or a cruise. She loved to plant gardens, collect elephants, and going to estate and yard sales. She always made sure to never leave the house without looking her best. She loved going to the salon to get her hair done. She always had her nails painted whether she had them done by someone or herself, but she was known to remove the nail polish shortly after and start again.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, sister Emily Sandoval, brothers in law Orlando Sandoval and Felix Jacquez.

She is survived by her sister Lydia Jacquez, brother Martin Sena (Carmen), her children Johnny Sandoval, Elma Ramirez, Debra Sandoval (Jerry), Phillip Sandoval (Megan). Her grandchildren Adam Sanchez, Jonathan Sandoval (Janette), Matthew Yara (Kimberly), Octavio Romero (Melissa), Anita Sandoval (Tony), Valerie Velasquez (Greg), Vanessa Tenorio (Everette), Abran Sandoval (Erica). She also leaves behind 27 great grandchildren. Her godchildren, Valerie, Jesse Jacquez and Stevie Rae Lopez. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
