Betty Lovato

Betty Priscilla Lovato, age 78 lifelong resident of Farmington, New Mexico passed away on Tuesday March 19, 2024. She was born on September 22, 1945, in Farmington, NM to Porfirio and Ermelinda Jacquez. Betty loved her family more than she loved anything else. She was a devoted wife, mother, nana/honey, sister and aunt. She also loved her Dodgers and Broncos and refused to be interrupted whenever they were playing. 

She enjoyed playing cards and teaching her kids and grandkids the value of how to lose gracefully. She never let them win! Once they learned to play, they challenged her sportsmanship. She was a devout Catholic and loved with all her heart and then some. Although she would never officially admit it, she always found a way of making you feel as though you were her favorite while you were in her presence. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Porfirio and Ermelinda Jacquez. Her brothers Asisclo, Pete, Antolino and Felix Jacquez. Two sisters, Marcella Corrales and Udela Arellano.

Surviving is her husband of 57 years Tony J. Lovato. Her sons Dean (Angie) Lovato and Bryan (Joyce) Lovato. Her daughters Tanya (Allen) MacLennan and Heather (Rick) DeLaBarcena. Grandchildren, Taryn (Kyle) Roark, Ricky DeLaBarcena, Jonathan Wright, Ryan MacLennan, Riley DeLaBarcena and a special great grandbaby on the way. Sisters-in-law, Lydia Jacquez and Delia Jacquez. Numerous nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.

The Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am with a Memorial Mass to follow at 10:00 am Monday March 25, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 410 N. Allen Ave. Farmington, NM. Interment The Columbarium of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the Parish Hall of Sacred Heart.
