On June 4, 2025, our beloved Beverly Ann Evans peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior at home, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 81. Beverly was born in Houston, TX, on January 31, 1944, to Emmett and Anna Mae Teel while her father was away at war. Most of her early years were spent traveling for her father’s job, and the family eventually settled in her hometown of Farmington, NM, around 1959. Beverly graduated from Bloomfield HS in 1962 and attended college at Wayland Baptist in Plainview, TX. She married the love of her life, Jack Evans, in 1965 and recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Beverly touched many lives with her unwavering witness and heart for others. She loved volunteering at Birthright, where she counseled young mothers for many years. Her dedication to her faith was evident in her service at church and her leadership during Vacation Bible School, where she helped children grow in their knowledge and love of God.
She was happiest with family, especially with her husband, planting flowers, yard work, long car rides, antiquing, baking, and back porch swinging. She was the best wife, mother, and grandmother we could ask for. A precious gem she was, that we are thankful for, and the memories she left us with.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Jack; daughters Lorrie Rodgers, Lisa (James) Milner, and Kristy Evans; grandchildren Miranda (Jake) Hertz, Devin Hower, Hailen Hower, and Sarah Sexton; five great-grandchildren; siblings Gary (Paula) Teel and Sandra Locke, and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Farmington on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Houses with Hope, a charitable organization that held a special place in Beverly’s heart.
