Billy Joe Williamson died on Saturday, May 16,2026 peacefully at home with his wife and son by his side.
Billy was born May 2, 1959 to Doyle and Gladys Williamson in Brownfield, Texas and moved to Farmington, New Mexico at the age of 2. He was a lifelong resident of Farmington. Billy graduated from Farmington High School in 1977. After graduation, he began working in the oil field and remained there until his retirement in 2025.
Billy loved golfing and his golfing buddies, too many to name. Billy coached baseball in Farmington from the time his son was 5 until he left for college. He played on the Farmington Gassers in 1977 which is the only Farmington Connie Mack Team to reach the Championship game. He was the only person in Farmington history to play and coach twice in the Connie Mack World Series.
Billy is survived by his loving wife Pam Williamson of 45 years and his son Tyson Williamson, Mother Gladys Williamson and three sisters, Debi Chapman, Mandy Ensign and Kim Williamson along with his brother Joe Williamson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father, Doyle Williamson and Paternal and Maternal grandparents.
Bill has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
