Candace Ann Marcy

Candace Ann Marcy was born on Dec. 13, 1948 in Pampa, Tx. to Donald W. Crossan and Dorothy L. Crossan.

She passed away on Jan. 22, 2026 after a brief and sudden illness. Her family was graced with her love and misses her smile and guidance in their lives.   

Candy married Francis Marcy on July 2, 1966. Their first date was on the opening night of the first Connie Mack World Series held in Farmington. Aug. 20, 1965. While dating Francis, she became a life-long Dodger fan. She reaped the benefits of this during the last two World Series. They were blessed with a son, Darren W. Marcy (Karen) and a daughter, Stephanie A. Nichols (John). They moved to Gallup, N.M. for Francis’s employment with EPNG in 1967. They returned to Farmington in 1972. Candy went to work as a clerk in the billing dept. at San Juan Hospital soon after she returned. She worked her way up to be the Manager of the Admitting and Billing Dept. before retiring about 1990. She loved following her children to watch their baseball and cheerleading efforts. They provided her with many happy memories which she cherished. 

Candy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law, Bill Ramsey, Derby Britton, Dennis Marcy and Glen Marcy. Sister-in-law Kay Marcy and niece Sheila Marcy.

She is survived by her husband Francis Marcy, her son Darren Wayne Marcy (Karen) and her daughter Stephanie Ann Nichols (John) her sisters Donna Ramsey, Beverly Trego, Linda Britton and Ardith Akins and her brother Donald (Pete) Crossan. She is also survived by her Grandchildren Melody French, Megan Marcy, D. J. Hardy, Quinlynne Nichols, Maya Marcy and Camilla Marcy. Karen’s daughter Margaret and son Nick and Great Grandchildren Wyatt French, Julian Hardy and Caleb Hardy.

She requested no services. The family will have a remembrance at a date later in the spring or early summer.
