Carl Anthony Crocfer

Farmington, New Mexico

Carl Anthony Crocfer of Farmington, New Mexico passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 14, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on December 24,1945 in Trinidad, Colorado to Robert Joseph Crocfer and Jeanette Mae Hoadley. 

Carl lived a life devoted to faith, family and education. Carl earned his master's degree and spent his career as a dedicated schoolteacher. In the classroom, he was more than an educator-he was a mentor, a patient guide, and a steady influence in the lives of his students. His love of learning and quiet encouragement left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He appreciated the vast differences and backgrounds of all people. He just loved people and genuinely cared about their wellbeing. 

A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Carl's faith was the foundation of his life. He loved the gospel and lived its principles with quiet conviction. He served faithfully in his church, community and found deep joy and purpose in his beliefs. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert & Jeanette Crocfer his brother Robert Crocfer his sister Ruth Looker and his beloved grandson Tyler Crocfer. 

Carl is survived by his eternal companion and wife of 54 years, Elsie (Homer) Crocfer; his daughter Alicia (Eric) Stone and son Matthew Crocfer. His Siblings Leon Crocfer, Burl Crocfer, Arthur Crocfer, Carol Whittaker, Martha Sanchez, Janice Berckefelt and Nancy Marshall, He was a proud grandfather to Kailyn (Casey) Christensen, Adrianna (Dallen) Mayer, Jaxxon White, Ella & Torunn Stone, Sydney & Grayson George. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Harmony & Isaias Martinez, Nos Crocfer, Casyn & Cadyn Christensen, Jordan & Capri Mayer and Quinton George. 

Carl will be remembered for his gentle heart, his unwavering testimony, and the deep love he had for his family and his Heavenly Father. His legacy will continue to shine in the lives of all he taught, served, and loved. 

Visitation and viewing will be held at 9 a.m. May 31, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints,1310 E 25th St. Farmington, New Mexico. Funeral Services will begin at 10 a.m. with Bishop Perry Max Webb conducting. Interment will follow at the Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington. 

The Pallbearers are Matthew Crocfer, Eric Stone, Mark Crocfer, James Larson, Roy Berckefelt, Mark Usleman, John Homer and Gary Potter. Honorary pallbearers are Jaxxon White, Nos Crocfer, Casyn Christensen, Dallen Mayer and Rondell Tapia.
