Caroline McDonald

Caroline Ruth McDonald was born March 23,1930 to Harland A. Carr and Laura Lee Carr in Ottumwa, IA and died June 25,2023 in Aztec, NM. Caroline married Newton J. McDonald on August 19, 1951, he preceded her in death in February 2000.

Caroline was an elementary teacher retiring from Bloomfield Schools. She was very active in her church as well as many other organizations as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by her children Marie (Robert) Chavez, Virgil (Brenda) McDonald, and Deanna (Lenard) Tapley. Her grandchildren Brian (Christy) Chavez, Jeremy (Andrea) Chavez, Chris (Sarah) McDonald, Nathan McDonald, Dina (Reas) Axtell, and James (Lauren) Tapley. Great grandchildren Bryson, Carson, Jack, Cole, Kyra, Drake, Kaeden, Daxton, and Jasper.

The family would like to thank Crane’s Roost in Aztec for the loving and compassionate care given Caroline these last few months.

Visitation will be Friday June 30 from 5-7 at Farmington Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday, July 1, at 10:00 a.m. at the Aztec Christian Church (413 Pinon St, Aztec). Burial to follow at Memory Gardens.
