Charley Franklin Archuleta, 61, of Farmington, New Mexico joined his Heavenly Father on January 22, 2022. He was born on November 8, 1960 in Durango, Colorado to proud parents Martha and Donald Archuleta. He was the sixth child born out of eight children. He graduated from Ignacio High School in 1979. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1979-1983. He was honorably discharged with a rank of Corporal. Following his discharge, he was employed for 17 years by San Juan Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his beloved mother, Martha Archuleta of Farmington, NM; son, Bryan Giovanini of Farmington, NM; brothers: Donald Archuleta of Las Vegas, NM; Michael Archuleta of Bloomfield, NM; Lionel Archuleta and sister-in-law, Elaine Archuleta of Rio Rancho, NM; Raul Archuleta of Farmington, NM; Kevin Archuleta of Farmington, NM; and sister, Nina Hernandez and brother-in-law, Cole Hernandez of Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Donald Archuleta and brother Joseph D. Archuleta. Charley had the love of his many nieces and nephews, Chris Archuleta, Olivia Archuleta, Vanessa Archuleta, Ariane Sullivan, Martin Archuleta, Anastasia Archuleta and Ava Hernandez. He loved his many great nieces and nephews. Through his strong Catholic faith, Charley was called as the Lord’s servant to be Godfather to Christopher Valasquez of Farmington, NM; Martin Archuleta of Farmington, NM; Jonathan Pitts of Pagosa Springs, CO; Cole Strait of Pagosa Springs, CO; Taelor Larkins of Tucson, AZ; and Vanessa Archuleta of Rio Rancho, NM. A funeral mass will be held in Ignacio, Colorado at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church on January 29, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Ignacio East Cemetery.
