Clyde Ramon Jacquez's Obituary

Rev. Clyde R Jacquez was called home to his Lord on March 2, 2026 after 98 years of faithfulness and servanthood to his Jesus.
Clyde was born to Josephina and Solomon Jacquez on August 31, 1927 in Gallina NM. He was joined by his sisters, Ora, Donna and Lou. Clyde grew up with his Tia Vita who kept him as her own.
As Clyde grew up he learned how to work hard to care for the ones he loved. He married Pricilla on November 3, 1946 and they started their family adding their children Verla, Norma, Clyde Jr and Rick. He worked hard to support his young family, herding sheep and logging.
As Clyde’s family grew so did his faithfulness to the Lord and he felt the calling to serve as a pastor. He touched so many in the Northern New Mexico area. Rural areas were his calling, churches were established and thrived in Canones, Cuba and “Sa-le-tra”. So many of us knew him as a father, grandfather, uncle, friend and he was a pastor to us all.
And the pastor role he carried for years, officially and unofficially…. He cared for, prayed for, and pastored for the rest of his long, beautiful life. Bringing everyone he could to the feet of his Jesus. Until his Jesus said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ Matt 25:21

Clyde was preceded in death and welcomed into the presence of Jesus by the love of his life Pricsilla; parents Solomon and Josephina Jacquez parents-in-law; Felix and Matilda Maestas; sister; Lou Velasquez; his Daughter Norma Aragon and son-in-law Ted Cisneros. Imagine the celebrations when they welcomed him home.

Clyde is survived by children Verla, Clyde and Joanne, and Rick and Theresa. 9 grandchildren: Eunice, Ted, TJ, Michael, Janice, Alvin, Nestor, Michael, and Katie and their families which leads to 4 generations with 11 great-grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. Son in Law Alfonso Aragon, sisters Donna and Ora and so many loving friends and family. Establishing a long beautiful legacy.

To his church families, thank you for the beautiful legacy you have created with Clyde, a legacy of love and faithfulness to his Master and Lord.
