Connie Rodriguez, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, in Farmington, New Mexico, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born September 12, 1938, in Laconia, New Hampshire.

Connie lived a life centered around family, hard work, kindness and community. Throughout her life, she worked at K-mart, serving her community with sweet treats and caring acts that touched countless lives. She was known for her generous heart, welcoming spirit, and deep devotion to the ones she loved.

Connie was always ready for any family gathering. If she was not dancing, “busting a move” to music, she could usually be found in the kitchen making sure everyone was fed and cared for. Her home and heart were always open to friends and family alike.

She was preceded in death by her father Lester Blackey, mother Edith Essary Blacey; sisters Cheryl Warmcastle and Diane Blackey; her husband P. Rodriguez; her granddaughter Christina Wright and niece Belinda Jeanlgo.

She is survived by her sister Beverly Roger; brother James Blackey; son Brian Miekle Sr (Betty Jean Miekle), stepson Ronnie Rodriguez; Grandchildren Mike Pell, Brian Miekle Jr (Misty Miekle), Jeremiah Miekle, Christina Wright, Valene Border (Josh Ridenour), Travis Miekle, alongside several great grandchildren, Nevah, Brian III, Angel, Christopher, Dakota, McKenzie, Debbie, Victoria, Renee, Cora, Robert, Kayla, Joshua Jr, Hailey, Robert Jr and many more nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Connie spent her final moments embraced by loved ones and she was greeted at Heavens gates by many more waiting to welcome her home.

Her laughter, strength, cooking, dancing, and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Memorial services for Connie will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Connie’s home. All family and friends are invited to gather in a celebration of her life and the memories she leaves behind.
