Craig John Holiday, 59, of Farmington, passed away on Monday, Oct. 30 in Farmington. He was born to John Laurence and Mary Rose Holiday, on Feb. 24, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1973 they moved to North of St. John, Ariz. He loved living there, that was where his heart was. This is where he helped his dad and brothers build their house. In 1978 he moved to Farmington and worked at Sunburst Fireplaces, Best Truck Body, C & D Services (his business) and United Rentals. Craig was a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. National Guard for 10 years. He also reserved for San Juan County Sheriff Office and Bloomfield Police Department. He was our animal whisperer and never turned anyone down, that is how he will be remembered.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Holiday; and a sister, Patricia Balzenyak. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Holiday; son, Ian L. Holiday; daughters, Randi (Mike) Gillet, Stephanie (Jon) Adkins, and Tonia (Kent) McEvers; his brothers, Bruce J. Holiday, Neil (Gail) Holiday and Roger (Loretta) Holiday; brother-in-laws, Mike (Liz) Self and Greg (Dana) Self; sisters, Jodie Slifka, Kathleen Holiday, Sandra Podgorski, Doreen Nowak, Nancy Carismo and Jackie (Dave) Jones; and a sister-in-law, Charlene Self.

A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, and a service at 11 a.m., both at Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache St. Pallbearers are Scott Rothgery, Bruce Holiday, Henry Lockley, Jon Adkins, Mike Gillet and Jacob Montoya. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Kirtland Fruitland Cemetery. Donations may be made to Farmington Funeral Home for Craig. Funeral arrangements are with Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W.
