Damian Van Lee, 30, of Farmington, NM and prior Rexburg, Idaho, passed away on Good Friday, April 3, 2026, in Farmington, NM. Damian was born on April 23, 1995, in Shiprock, NM, to parents Susie L. Manning and Raymond Van Lee JR. (deceased). Damian is born to Kinlichii’nii (Redhouse Clan) & born for Hashtl’ishnii (Mud Clan).
Damian was full of life, faith, and a deep love for Christ. He cherished his family and friends and lived with a spirit that touched everyone who knew him. He graduated from Kirtland Central High School, Class of 2013, in Kirtland, New Mexico, where he proudly participated in ROTC and other activities he enjoyed.
Damian had a love for music, enjoyed streaming online while gaming, valued his independence, and was known for his strong work ethic. He attended Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he studied drafting and continued striving toward his goals.
His journey took him to the Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas area, where he worked at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport and later as a forklift operator at Kroger. In recent years, Damian made his home in Rexburg, Idaho, where he worked in the medical transportation field, continuing to serve others with dedication and care.
Above all, Damian was a devoted follower of Christ, living his life full of faith and trust in God’s plan. His favorite saying, “God works in mysterious ways,” reflected the strength and belief that carried him through every challenge. He fought hard throughout his life and continues his journey on the other side with the same courage and faith.
Damian will be deeply and forever missed, but his love, his faith, and the memory of who he was will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Damian is preceded by his father Raymond Van Lee JR.
Damian is survived by Mother Susie L. Manning, Sisters Jessica Sue Lee and Kimee Starla Lee, nieces Sofia Rose Larsen (3yrs old) and Kimayah Liliana Larsen (8 months old).
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, April 25, 2026, at The Cornerstone Apostolic Church 1108 N. Dustin Ave. Farmington, NM, Officiated by Pastor Michael Brixner.
The reception will be at 12:00PM, Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Cornerstone Apostolic Church 1108 N. Dustin Ave. Farmington, NM.
Everyone is welcome to bring their favorite side dish.
Honorary Pallbearers are Susie L. Manning, Jessica Sue Lee, Kimee Starla Lee.
