Daniel Allen White,79, a proud US Army Veteran of Fruitland, NM passed away on May 27, 2026. He was born on November 07, 1946, in Two Grey Hills, Nm to Abbie Bainbridge and Peter White.
Daniel graduated from Ignacio High School in 1966. He attended ITC in San Francisco and earned a diploma in Construction drafting in 1968. He was then drafted to the United States Army October 1968. He married his wife, Marie, on December 31, 1968. He was then sent to the Vietnam war March 1969 to March 1970. He was in the 101st Airborne division and was a combat engineer. He was honorably discharged in October 1970. He was employed with the Navajo Nation police in 1972 for a couple of years. and entered the Arizona National Guard for 6 years. He Moved to Page, Arizona in 1980, where he worked and retired at the NGS powerplant in 2002. He was a member of the Elks lodge #2498 and the VFW. He enjoyed bowling, boating, casino and spending time with his family and friends.
Daniel was preceded by death by his son, Orlando White and both his parents, his sisters Edna Watchman, Marie, Esther White and Louise Osife, and his brothers Junior Beyal, Morris Lee Beyal, Paul Beyal and Raymond Beyal.
Surviving is his wife Marie White, his son Jeffery White and his daughter, Thelma White-David, grandchildren Nora Christine, Danielina Leonard, Orlando White Jr., Gabrianna Rose White-David, Troy Allen White-David LaShaunda Chee White and Don’Alyssa White-David and great grandchildren Terrell, Myron, Zonniemarie and Garyn Chee White. He left behind many cousins, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and friends.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on June 10, 2026, at Gallup State Veterans cemetery. Reception will follow location TBD. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family. Cremation services were taken care of by Farmington Family Funeral home in Farmington, NM.
