David Leroy Francisco, 61, of Bloomfield, New Mexico, passed away on January 28, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
David was born at the Brethren in Christ Mission in Otis, New Mexico, to Natoni and Mary Francisco. He was born into the Hashtl’ishnii (Mud Clan) and was born for the Tódích’íí’nii (Bitter Water Clan). He spent his life rooted in northern New Mexico and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed the values of discipline, service, and loyalty that guided him throughout his life.
David was a devoted father, grandfather, family member, and friend. He will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and the care he showed to those around him. His presence left a lasting impact on all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Natoni Francisco and Mary Francisco; his uncle, Jack Francisco; his brothers, Willie Francisco, Benjamin Francisco and John Francisco; his sister, Pauline Francisco; his niece, Cheryl Francisco; and his nephew, Anthony Francisco.
David is survived by his wife, Patricia Francisco; his daughters, Jennifer Francisco and Kimberly Francisco; his son, Justin Francisco; and his two granddaughters, Carmyne Francisco and Madison Francisco-Lindgram, who will continue to honor his memory.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Francisco, Matthew Francisco, Dominic Detsoi, Emilio Benally, Jason Benally, Sam Benally, Jr., Rudy Shorty, and Jeremy Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Francisco, John N. Smith, Leo Francisco, Willard Francisco, Reed Francisco, Ernie Francisco, Melvin Francisco, Ben Francisco, Troy Ellison, Robert Ellison and Jaden Detsoi.
A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on the day of the service. Funeral services will take place at First Baptist Church in Bloomfield, New Mexico, on February 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Brethren in Christ Mission Cemetery in Otis, New Mexico.
A reception will be held following the burial at the Brethren in Christ Mission Gymnasium in Otis, New Mexico.
