Debbie Rae Daniel

Debbie Rae Daniel of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025.

Debbie was born to Cecil and Dorothy (Ledbetter) Daniel on August 4, 1954 in Farmington, NM. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1972. She continued her education and studied accounting and finance at New Mexico State in Las Cruces, NM, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. She worked many years in that field. 

She spent most of her life in Farmington surrounded by family and friends. Debbie was known for her sweet spirit and warm heart. She found joy in music and in celebrating and laughing with friends and family. 

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Dorothy (Ledbetter) Daniel, and her siblings, JoRita and Bobby.

 She is survived by many relatives including her Aunt Laura Ledbetter of Farmington, cousins Kelly and Ivy Ledbetter of Farmington, Scott Ledbetter, Holly Ledbetter Weinkauf, many other Ledbetter and Daniel cousins, as well as close friends who she considered her found family. 

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 7 at 2pm at Memory Gardens 6917 E Main St. in Farmington. Pallbearers will be Kelly Ledbetter, Scott Ledbetter, Jacob Ledbetter and, Dale Slade. 

All who knew Debbie are invited to attend and share in celebrating her life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Regional Animal Shelter Foundation, PO Box 692, Farmington, NM, 87499, in Debbie’s name. 

Though her time with us was cut too short, Debbie’s spirit remains in every life she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, and may we honor her by carrying forward her kindness, and love.
