In Loving Memory of Della Martinez
Della Martinez, 76, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and community.
Born on March 4, 1950, in Dolores, Colorado, Della was the beloved daughter of Jose Medina and Juanita Archibeque, who preceded her in death. Her life was rooted in faith, compassion, and service.
On February 28, 1970, Della married the love of her life, Tony Martinez. Together they shared more than 56 years of marriage, creating a home centered on love, laughter, and family.
Della was a devoted wife and loving mother to her three sons, Carlos, Roberto, and Antonio Martinez. She was preceded in death by her sons, Carlos and Roberto, and is survived by her husband, Tony, and her son, Antonio.
She is also survived by her brothers, Toby (Aurora) Medina and Roy (Angie) Medina; her sister, Francis Lanier; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Della dedicated many years to caring for children at Central Elementary School in Bloomfield, New Mexico, where she built lasting friendships and was admired for her warmth, compassion, and caring heart.
She enjoyed life's simple pleasures-lunch with friends, trips to the nail salon, and exercising at the pool. Her smile, laughter, and loving spirit brought joy to everyone around her.
A devoted Catholic, Della faithfully served her parish and found great joy in helping with Cursillos, sharing her faith through prayer, fellowship, and service. Her unwavering faith touched countless lives and will remain her greatest legacy.
Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the example she set, and the faith she lived will continue to inspire all who knew her.
May our loving Lord welcome Della into His eternal kingdom, where she is reunited with her parents and her beloved sons, Carlos and Roberto. May she rest forever in the peace of Christ.
-Matthew 25:23
