Delphine Josephine Yazzie

Delphine Josephine Yazzie, 58, of Albuquerque, NM passed away on May 10, 2026, in Salt Lake City, UT. She was born on August 23, 1967, in Shiprock, NM to Emma Ben Smith and Henry Smith.

She attended school in the Four Corners area graduating from Kirtland Central high School. She attended the Albuquerque Job corp. She worked for the Albuquerque Public School system as a cafeteria worker until her passing. She enjoyed her craft work, 80’s pop culture, soap operas, professional wrestling, the Kansas City Chiefs and spending time with her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her father Henry Smith, and grandma Loraine C. Jole.

Delphine is survived by her husband Tom Yazzie, sons John Yazzie, William Yazzie, and Aric Yazzie, daughter in law Danielle Cornelius and Hannah Yazzie, mother Emma Ben Smith, brother Anothony Smith, sisters Henrietta Hartsell, Sacheen Benally and Natasha Farley, and grandchildren Asher Yazzie, Arrow Yazzie, Elaine Yazzie and Amelia Yazzie

A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday May 21, 2026, at Farmington Funeral Home in Farmington, NM. Following a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at Kirtland Fruitland Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
