Demethrio Gallegos

April 6, 2000 — August 15, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Demethrio Antonio
Dean Gallegos known as Deme. He left us on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the age of 25. Demewas born April 6, 2000, in Durango, Colorado and was the cherished son of Clinton and Andrea Gallegos and Alishea and Arthur Mackey, Jr. He graduated from Farmington High School in 2018. Deme was the bright light in all of our lives. He was known for his infectious laugh and his generous, kind, and free loving spirit. From a young age, he had a passion for video games and electronics. Deme went on to become a Master Electronic Technician. He enjoyed helping others wherever he went and loved being with family, friends, and doing outdoor activities especially hiking. Being a profound believer in philosophy, wisdom, and faith, Deme enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. Deme was loved by many and will be forever missed.

He is survived by his parents Clinton and Andrea Gallegos and Alishea and Arthur Mackey, Jr.; his brothers Emilio (Angel), Dominic, Kali (Evelyn), Gabriel, Elias; his sisters Analiyah (Cameron), Amaray, Arya, Niema; three precious nieces Cattaleya, Scarlett, and Delilah. His grandparents are Sherrie Gallegos (Dennis), Jacque and Gary Payne, Retta and Arthur Mackey, Sr., Melissa and Larry Archer and great-grandma Beverly Payne; his aunts and uncles Seth and Toni Payne, Cassidy Payne, Amy Gallegos, Scott and Bethel Gallegos; and many beloved cousins.
