He then joined the U.S. Army in 1968 and served as a radio tech while stationed in then Saigon, South Vietnam. After returning to the U.S., he married Karma Tucson on December 31, 1973 and they had 52 wonderful years together. The couple then relocated to Farmington, New Mexico where Don worked as a heavy equipment operator for various companies until his retirement. Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed gardening and traveling with his family. Steadfast in his beliefs, Don was a pillar of our family. We'll remember his love, his wisdom, and his sense of humor. We'll dearly miss him.
