Donna Colleen Lobato

Donna Colleen Terrill Lobato (previously a Thornburg), 87, of Blanco, New Mexico, passed away on August 31, 2026, in Farmington, New Mexico. Donna was born in Osceola, South Dakota, on September 11, 1938, to parents Henry and Mable Hare.

Donna was in the US Army, Engineering. She met and married her first husband Daniel Thornburg at Fort Sill Oklahoma in 1959. Donna had three children, Mike, Gene and Kandy. They were married for 30 years, before Daniel’s death in 1989. Donna met and married Victor Lobato in 1991. Her stepchildren being; Chris, Ena, Kathy, Alex, Paul and Helen. Donna was a member of the VFW; the American Legion and she was a volunteer with the Blanco Fire Department.

Donna is preceded in death by Henry and Mable Hare (parents) Daniel Thornburg (first husband) Victor Lobato (second husband) (Stepdaughters) Ena Prado and Kathy Malott, (Stepson in law) Owen Wood, (Step granddaughter) Tamara Meeks, and (step great granddaughter) Aria Roeland. (Donna was an only child)

Donna is survived by (Sons) Mike Thornburg (Cindy), Gene Thornburg (Linda), (Daughter) Kandy Finch (James), (Stepsons) Chris Lobato (LouAnn), Alex Lobato (Vicki), Paul Lobato, (Stepdaughter) Helen Wood, as well as (step son-in-laws) Cliff Prado and Mark Malott. Donna is also survived by numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Visiting Angels, Guardian Angel's, San Juan Regional Medical Center, Mercy Hospital Oncology Department, Basin Health, and Cedar Ridge Nursing Home for the wonderful care Donna was given. We would also like to thank family members who helped Donna with the Ranch, Antonio Lucero, Mark Malott, Kerriana Malott, Alex, Vicki, and Amanda Lobato, and Cliff Prado.
