In loving memory of Doreen Crockett,

Doreen Crockett, a remarkable mother, grandmother, and Gigi, passed away on December 13th, 2023, in Farmington, NM, at the age of 76. Born on August 3rd, 1947, in Vernal, UT, she lived a life filled with passion, love, and unwavering determination.

Doreen was a force to be reckoned with in the world of sales. With her charismatic personality and persuasive skills, she could sell anything to anyone, from furniture to hot tubs, and even prepaid funerals. Her ability to connect with people and meet their needs was unparalleled, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike.

Residing in Aztec, New Mexico, Doreen's roots in Vernal, Utah, shaped her life. Born to proud parents Thomas Lee Abplanalp and Ora Lee Wooley, she carried their legacy forward with grace.

Preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ora and her great Granddaughter Hope, Doreen is survived by her loving daughters, Lora Lee Hutchison (Jon) of Farmington, Denise Candland (Shawn)of West Haven, UT, and Kalee Grothe of Farmington. She leaves a legacy through her brothers: her twin, Dean Abplanalp (Connie), Merlyn Watkins (DaShel), and Eric Walker (Katrina).

Doreen's impact extends to her grandchildren: Amber (Hector), John, Jimmy, Justin Wright, Tyler, Amanda, Brittney, Olivia, Mercedes, Sophia, and Cooper.   Her great-grandchildren, Ariahna, Buddy, Mia, Faith, Joyce, Madden, and Diego.

Doreen found joy in simple pleasures, cherishing moments spent playing cards, particularly Pinnacle and Blackjack, with her daughters. In her earlier years, she embraced the competitive spirit of bowling. Post-retirement, she reveled in playdates with her great-grandchildren, engaging in activities such as baking, reading, picnics, and games. Doreen attended school programs, dance recitals, and sports games, demonstrating unwavering support for her family.

Known for her love of family, Doreen maintained connections through phone calls and social media. Her encouragement and inspiration guided her grandchildren to pursue their dreams with diligence. Organized and determined, she carried an air of stubbornness that only added to her remarkable character. Living a modest life, she ensured her family's needs were met, instilling the values of hard work and ambition in her daughters and grandchildren.

As we say our farewells to Doreen Crockett, let us remember her as more than a sales maven, she was a beacon of passion and purpose. Her laughter, wisdom, and love will linger in the hearts of all fortunate enough to know her. Though her earthly journey has ended, the spirit of resilience and familial devotion she embodied will forever inspire us.

In our reflections, let's find solace in the enduring love she leaves behind. Doreen's life was a celebration of simple joys and unwavering determination. May her legacy remind us to embrace each day with zest and love, just as she did.
Doreen, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, has left an indelible mark on our hearts. May she find eternal peace surrounded by the love she so generously shared.

We would like to thank The Bean Team Dance Team for adopting her as your Gigi, and all the emergency responders, doctors and nurses that cared for her in the end. We are forever grateful.
