Dorothy Mae Schlotterback, age 98, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Farmington, New Mexico. Dorothy was born on February 21, 1927, in Plainview, Texas to Norman Gilbert Moseley and Amie Ines Moseley.

Dorothy found deep joy in creative expression and the quiet beauty of the world around her. She enjoyed drawing and painting, quilting, and losing herself in the pages of a good book. She loved spending time outdoors, especially hiking mountain trails and cross-country skiing. A devoted animal lover, especially dogs and she cared for many throughout her lifetime. She lived simply and felt at home among the mountains with wildlife and the beautiful scenery. Dorothy was a good neighbor and engaged in the world around her, staying informed about current events and faithfully casting her vote well into her latter years. Above all, she loved her family remaining an important and steady presence, taking an active, loving interest in the lives of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded in death by parents Norman Gilbert Moseley and Amie Ines Wall. Brothers; Norman Gilbert Moseley Jr. Moseley; Robert Elford Moseley; Gary Douglas Moseley and grandparents; Benjamin F Moseley & Margaret A McMillan; Thomas E Wall & Carrie Belle Brooks.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Roger Craig Schlotterback and wife Sondra and Larry Norman Schlotterback and wife Judy. Grandchildren; Dani Everitt; Julie Smith; Holly Schlotterback; Amy Dickenson; Katie Neville and great-grandchildren Leah, Christina, Daphne, Avery, Pete, Gena, Elora, Kiara & Zane.
