It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Lee Dobbs, who left us on June 20, 2025, at the age of 77. Douglas was born on January 8, 1948, in Farmington, New Mexico to Andrew Floyd Dobbs and Jewel Louise Dobbs.

Douglas was a proud Army veteran, having served our country from July 19, 1966, to July 18, 1969. After his service, he dedicated himself to his work as a pipefitter in the heating and air conditioning industry, respected by many for his skill and commitment. He also enjoyed being a boiler maker for a college in Beaumont, Texas and a Military Institute in New Mexico.

Douglas was an outdoorsman. A couple of his favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting.

He is preceded in death by his brother Gary Dobbs, sister-in-law Linda Dobbs, and nephew Donny Dobbs.

Douglas is survived by his daughters, Samantha Duva and Sonya Lewis (Carl), brothers Dewey Dobbs (Velma) and Buddy Leeson, sister Carol Olafson (Steve), Samantha-mother-children-Adam-Dominick, Sonya-mother-children- Michael-Damien-Michell, and great-great-grandchildren Grace-Audree-Paige.

A graveside service will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery on August 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM. His family invites all who knew him to join them in celebrating the loving person Douglas was.
