Edwin Atlee Wolfard, 71, resident of Bloomfield New Mexico passed away at his home January 2nd, 2024 due to heart complications. He was born in Rawlins, Wyoming on January 28th, 1952 to his father Ronald Henry Wolfard, and mother Dorthy Louise Wolfard of Encampment, Wyoming. Ed grew up on the family ranch enjoying Wyoming culture and the ranch life. Ed participated in 4H with great success and competed in rodeos. He was a standout basketball player, and athlete at Encampment High, which he pursued all the way through college at Chadron State, and Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND. During a break from college Ed met the love of his life Carla Callis in Encampment. Ed eventually gave his heart to the Lord and married Carla. He answered the call to ministry and pastored 4 different churches throughout his 50 years of ministry, the last being Bloomfield Assembly of God in Bloomfield NM. During those years Ed became known for his light hearted demeanor, and his compassionate heart. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Dorthy Wolfard, brother Adrian Wolfard, sister Marilyn Brown, and sister Roxanna Johnson. He is survived by his wife Carla Yvonne Wolfard (Callis), Sisters Connie Wagnon, Laura Rettelle, Sally Wells, and Peggy Russell, son Alan Wolfard and his wife Sheila, son Atlee Wolfard and his wife Jaimee Wolfard, grandchildren Josiah Wolfard and his wife Rachel, Elijah Wolfard, Molly Wolfard, Elly Wolfard, and Kai Wolfard.
Ed's celebration of life service will be held at Bloomfield Assembly of God in Bloomfield, New Mexico on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at 3:00pm with a meal to follow.
