Ernest Joe Mott Jr. age 55, of Bloomfield, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Ernie was born on November 19, 1970 in Rangely Colorado to Ernest Mott St. And Patsy Mott. Attended Bloomfield High School where he loved playing on the football team Ernie was Raised in a hardworking family rooted in the oil industry, Ernie began working on the family oil rigs at just 13 years old. His dedication and strong work ethic carried him through a lifelong career in the oil fields. He worked for Dugan Production for 25 years before retiring in 2020. Outside of work, Ernie had a deep love for music, especially Elvis Presley. what began as a childhood admiration grew into a lifelong passion. Playing for hours on his guitar to his favorite songs. At family reunions, Ernie’s music often became the heart of the gathering, turning simple moments into memorable concerts for everyone around him.

Ernie also loved Hinting fishing, Camping riding dirt bikes, and spending time on his Harley. He had a special appreciation for the outdoors and the quiet beauty of nature. Whether he was hunting, camping, or simply enjoying the mountains, he found peace and happiness in the outdoors.

Known for his playful spirit, Ernie was quite the jokester. He loved scaring family and friends and seemed to have a nickname for just about everyone he knew. Those who loved him will always remember the laughter he brought into every room. Booner, thank you for the memories.

Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Mott, his father, Ernest Mott Sr., his sister, Mary and ( Bj) Green Brother in laws John Gonzales, Frank Gonzales, Madio and (Dora) Gonzales many nephews, nieces ,aunts uncles,cousins many extended family members and friends and by his beloved pet Chelsea.

Ernie is preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Mott and Nakia Jaramillo.

A special acknowledgment is given to Uncle Darell and Aunt Ida Mott for all their love and support.

Services will be held at the La Plata Valley Baptist Church, located at 629 NM-170, Farmington, New Mexico, on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Pallbearers, bike riders,

family and friends will meet at Farmington Funeral Home 2111 W. Apache Street Farmington NM 87401 at 10:00 am Saturday March 21st 2026 .To Escort Ernie to the church services.

Viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Rosary at 12:00 p.m. with services immediately following the rosary.

A potluck meal will be served in the adjacent hall, where family and friends are invited to gather and share memories.

Ernie, you are at peace now in the arms of Jesus.

Your fight is over and you are no longer in pain.

You fought a courageous battle with such strength and dignity.
