Francis M. Springer, 93, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on March 4, 2024, in Farmington, New Mexico. Francis was born on March 29, 1930, in Lebanon, Nebraska, to parents Marion Charles Springer & Reva Lucille Springer.

Francis Melvin Springer (FM-FRAN) peacefully passed on March 4, 2024, at Three Rivers Estates in Farmington, New Mexico. Francis was born on March 29, 1930, as the third child to Marion and Reva Springer and lived in the small community of Lebanon & Danbury, Nebraska.

Francis graduated from High School in 1947 and stayed on the farm helping his family. During 1951, FM was drafted into the ARMY, where he was designated to the 187th Airborne Division. He returned home on leave, at which time, he and Janet Hockman were married on July 9, 1952. He was deployed to Korea shortly after the wedding and served time on the front line in Korea. After the ARMY, FM worked at several jobs until being employed by JCPenney’s where he moved up to Manager position and managed several stores before landing in Farmington, where he retired in 1995. During retirement he enjoyed hunting and camping until he could no longer do it.

Francis is preceded in death by his parents Marion and Reva Springer, brother Dale Springer, and sisters Leta Bolles, Dixe Lorentz, and Nellie Winters.

Francis is survived by his wife Janet Springer, sons Craig Springer, and Andrew Springer, daughters Kaye Lynn Hart, and Anne Williams, sister Minnie Sughroue, including 16 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren.
