Gary Dean Miller

Mr. Gary Dean Miller, age 64 of Aztec, New Mexico passed away on Tuesday January 28, 2025. Gary was born on September 11, 1960, in Durango, Colorado to George Miller and Sylvia Rivas.

Gary was a veteran of the United States Army and a man who made everyone laugh...his friends, family and even the nurses and doctors who cared for him. He was someone who had a very difficult childhood, lost the first love of his life and found himself raising three kids on his own. However, he still managed to put a smile on others' faces. He felt blessed to have a second chance at love when he met Janene. He loved bringing our two competitive families together, sharing love and enjoying games. Family and faith meant everything to him, and he was the happiest when we were all together, especially with the kids and grandkids.

Gary was quick to make friends and quick to help anyone in need. He loved playing and watching sports of all kinds, especially pickleball, football, fishing and winning at poker! He especially loved to do those things with the people he loved. He was a coach and teammate to many. He demonstrated to his kids what a good work ethic looks like. He showed everyone in his last few years how to make the most of life and the peace and joy one can always find in the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Miller and his parents George Miller and Sylvia Rivas.

Surviving is his wife Janene Miller, his son Steven Miller. Daughters; Michelle Miller, Rebecca Miller and stepdaughter Madysen Barela. Grandchildren; Raeli Shama, Tessa Shama, Reese Shama and Rylee Barela.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday February 1, 2025, at Calvary Chapel Farmington, 6925 E. Main St. in Farmington with Pastor Tracy Burns officiating. Innichment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Colorado.
