Harold Pepin

June 24, 1945 — June 19, 2024

Harold F. Pepin went to be with his Heavenly Father on the morning of Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at his home in Cedar Hill, NM, after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born on June 24, 1945, to Willie F. Pepin and Nellie Jane Pepin in Farmington, NM.

Harold retired from Triple S Trucking where he was shop foreman and a highly skilled mechanic. In 2004 Harold, with his wife Beveraly, founded the San Juan Mountains Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society. Together they organized the annual ATHS Antique Truck Show, held the third weekend in September in Aztec, NM. Harold enjoyed driving and showing his fleet of beautifully restored commercial vehicles at truck and car shows throughout the region. His trucks, including a vintage fire engine, won numerous awards and were the stars of many holiday parades.

Harold took great pride in farming his land and tending a large garden with his family. After retiring, he enjoyed camping and fishing with friends at Lake Capote in Colorado. He was the faithful sexton and caretaker of the Cedar Hill Community Cemetery.

Harold is survived by Beveraly, for 53 years his wife and the love of his life; by his brother, Richard (Fran); sister, Marie Greer (Harold); daughter, Tanny Hoke and husband Syd; son, Bill Pepin and his wife Verinda.

Harold is also survived by seven beloved grandchildren: Travis Hoke and fiancée Kora Rector; Buster Hoke, Remington Pepin, Zach Pepin and wife Emily; Barrett Pepin, Warren McMinn and wife Lexi; Brooke McMinn and fiance, Alec Waldron; by two great-grandsons and a very special niece, Shaylee Schrock.

A special thank you to nurse Mary of Guardian Angels for all the help and special care she gave Harold. Thanks also to Caroline at A-Med and Daniel at AMME.

Celebration of Harold's life will be at 10 AM Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Harold and Beveraly's home in Cedar Hill, NM. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Community Cemetery.
