Hector Raul Salinas Villasenor Sr.

Our beloved father, Hector Raul Salinas Sr, known to all as Raul, age 66, passed away peacefully on October 18th, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on September 27, 1960 to Mario and Angela Salinas, Raul was a man of deep dedication, grit, and heart. He spent many hard-working years out on the rigs, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic and resilience. He took great pride in his work.

Beyond his career, his greatest joy was his family. Raul was a deeply devoted and loving father and grandpa, a loyal family man, and a trusted friend who could always be counted on. He was always happiest when surrounded by those he loved or when sharing a good laugh with a friend.

An avid baseball fan, his passion for the sport ran deep. Whether he was out on the field playing the game himself, cheering from the stands or on screen, baseball was a central piece of his life that was a constant source of joy for him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Austre; his children, Hector (Kimberly) Salinas, Luisa (Greg) Knutsen, and Andrea (Jesse) Randall; his cherished grandchildren, Alicia, Anthony, Andre, Annika, Ayla, Alexander, Brooklyn, Zachary, and Presley; and great granddaughter, Ava. He leaves behind a community of friends and family who will miss his warmth, humor, and companionship dearly.

A viewing will be held Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Farmington Funeral Home (2111 W Apache St, Farmington, NM). A Rosary and Mass will be held at 9:30 AM on Monday October 26, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (410 N Allen Ave, Farmington, NM). A reception to follow at the Sacred Heart Family Center.
