Idris LaRea Cross, 62, of Aztec, New Mexico passed away on July 30, 2026. She was born on February 2, 1964, in Tucson, Arizona to Delbert Warren Haury and Gwendolyn Rose Haury

Idris was an extraordinary person. She loved her garden, her fish, her turtles, hummingbirds, her home, and her life. Most of all she loved her husband and the family they built. She was kind, generous, and nurturing. She had many grandchildren that she considered her own which she accumulated over the years. Idris was the heart of the family and cherished all she loved, always putting their needs before her own. Whether a warm meal, a comforting embrace, words of encouragement, or simply just being present, she had an extraordinary gift for making others feel valued and cared for.

She is preceded in death by her dad Delbert Warren Haury, maternal grandparents Luke West and Beatrice West, and paternal grandparents Fred Warren Haury and Julia Idris Haury

Idris is survived by her loving husband Jeffery Jay Cross, son Greg Harley Cross, daughter Lacey Nicole Cross, mother Gwendolyn Rose Haury, brothers Jay Darrel Haury, Avon Dean Haury and brothers-in-laws Kirk Allen Cross and Mark Wallace Bergstrom, sister in-laws Susan Haury and Sunny Lynn Bergstrom, grandchildren Haylee, Jarrett, Sabian, Ian, and Ethan, and great-grandchildren Noey and Laiklynn.

A celebration of life will be at 1:00PM on Saturday August 8, 2026, at Farmington Funeral Home.
