Jack F. Stoltz, a well-respected member of the oil and gas industry in and around the four corners area, has passed away at the age of 72 in his hometown of Farmington, New Mexico. He was born on April 7, 1951, to Jack Stoltz and Mabel Furey. Jack's passing is mourned by his family and friends, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
From an early age, it was evident that Jack possessed a strong independent spirit. His upbringing instilled in him a high standard work ethic which he carried throughout his life. After graduating from Eastern New Mexico University with a bachelor's degree, he embarked on a successful career in the oil and gas industry. Jack's dedication to his work earned him the respect of his colleagues and peers.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jack was known as a selfless person who cherished his friendships dearly. He had a genuine care for others and always lent a helping hand when needed. Jack's integrity shone through in all his dealings with others; he was an honest and trustworthy individual.
In his free time, Jack found solace in riding motorcycles and attending rallies. These hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to connect with like-minded individuals who shared his passion for adventure on two wheels.
Jack's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly the impact he had on those around him. He touched the lives of many with his kind heart and compassionate nature; one was considered lucky to have Jack as a friend.
Having served in the Air Force during his military service, Jack demonstrated bravery and dedication to his country. His commitment to upholding honor and duty carried over into every aspect of his life.
Jack is survived by Susan "Nee" Sharp Matheny, his former wife, and their children Jason (Tasso) Stoltz, Samantha Allen, and Amy Van Nort. He also leaves behind his sisters, Mary Murray and Melinda Holcomb, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Jocelyn Stoltz, Jackson Stoltz, Jordan Knowlton, and Jeannie Marie Allen.
In honor of Jack's life, a Memorial Service will be held on September 11, 2023, at the La Plata Valley Baptist Church in Farmington. The service will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to join together to celebrate his life and bid him a fond farewell.
Jack F. Stoltz will be remembered as a remarkable individual with an unwavering work ethic, a caring nature, and an adventurous spirit. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a lasting impact on the lives of those around him.
