Jackie Litten

Jackie H. Litten, 91, of Farmington, passed away May 6, 2018. He was born September 24, 1926 in Mena, AR. to Melvin and Grace Litten.

Jackie graduated from high school in Farley, New Mexico. He enlisted in the military (Army) serving 2 years. He and his 2 brothers went to California competing in rodeos. He competed in bull riding and bull dogging. He married a California girl named Vora Mae Howard and gave up rodeoing. They moved to New Mexico and had six children. He worked as a welder building construction so he could purchase the Tupelo Oklahoma Ranch. He was fulfilling his dream, he had one more daughter making a beautiful family. He returned to New Mexico where he operated the world’s largest construction crane at San Juan Generating Station. He continued that until he retired.

Jackie was preceded in death by his wife Vora Litten and Frieda Davidson; sons Jack Barber (J.B.) Litten and Matthew Litten; daughter Tomi Lynette Christmas; his parents Melvin and Grace Litten; brothers Lendon Litten and Emette Ray Litten.

He is survived by his sons Jason Litten (Barbara), Quintin Litten (Lisa), and Michael Davidson (Cynthia); daughters Dania Wilder (Randy), Rhea Berty (Chris), and Starr Seifried (Mark); sister Wanda-Jean Litten; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service for Jackie Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 2pm at The Bridge with Pastor Joseph Oneal officiating. Interment will follow at the Kirtland Fruitland Cemetery with military honors being handled by the local VFW.
