Jackie Freeman Switzer was born Tuesday, November 11, 1947, in Madisonville, Kentucky. Jackie was born to Alvin Leon Switzer (Papaw) and Maggie Edna Earl Furlong (Mamaw). Aunt Mary Alice Simpkins went and stayed a week in Madisonville to help Mamaw get situated with the new bundle of joy. After life took shape for this new family unit, Papaw and Mamaw moved to Mt. Carmel, Illinois, where Jackie attended primary school through his 3rd grade.
When Jackie was 22 months old, he was blessed with a little sister, Taunya Louise Switzer. Little did he know, Taunya would become one of Jackie's most comforting allies. When Jackie was 7 years old, he was born again. At age 9, Papaw and Mamaw moved the family to Farmington, New Mexico. Jackie finished his school years in Farmington, New Mexico. He graduated high school from FHS in 1965.
After high school Jackie enlisted in the United States of America armed forces, Navy branch. He was honorably discharged. After being discharged, he met and married Cecelia Jolly on July 12, 1968, in Payson, AZ. Their eldest child, Jackie Freeman Switzer (Trey), was born November 9, 1969. After that, he married Tara Millikin on August 4, 1975. Jackie and Tara had a son Sloan Switzer born September 26, 1975.
Jackie had a troubled life. It was not easy for him. He was very mentally ill. In that, he no longer has to suffer anymore. His life was one of solitude until he was called home by the Lord on the 19th day of August 2026. Mamaw lead Jackie to the Lord to live a Christian life. Jackie knew more about the Bible than most preachers.
