James Bachar

James Bachar of Aztec, New Mexico passed away on Sep 23, 2021. His loved ones are composing his obituary, which you will be able to read here.

James (Jim) George Bachar was a lover of coffee, an avid reader, and above all a wonderful storyteller. Jim passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 84, born in Chicago and resided in New Mexico for over 60 years. Jim believed even a good story was better with a little exaggeration, that if you were going to swear make it a good one, that music feeds the soul, a good book is better than any movie, and life is too short to not live to the fullest and cause some chaos on your way out. Jim was a bright light and made an impression on every person he met without even trying, he will be sorely missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dorothy Bachar and step-mom Helen. He will be greeted by his late wife Barbara, daughter Melissa and sweet pets Goofy and Ladybug. He is survived by his children, daughter Debbie and her husband Kelly, son Steven, and son Richard. He was "Pops" to his grandchildren, Kassie, Kimmie, Christy and daughter Daylynn; Jimmy and his wife Jacque and children Joey and Layla; Korianne and her husband Colt and children Peyton, and Trayson; Jamie and her husband Jay and children Kadin, Alexander, and Ethan; and Melissa and her husband John and children Andrew and wife Shayla and children Dante, Sierra, Dylan, and Jayden.

A graveside service at Sunset Memory Gardens in Albuquerque, NM, Saturday, October 9th, at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest, next to his wife Barbara of 45 years.
