James (Jim) Clements

December 4, 1951 – July 26, 2026

Born on December 4, 1951, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Jim Clements came into the world under a “Wandering Star”. From an early age, he developed a deep love for the outdoors and the wild places that shaped his life.

In his youth, Jim was a bit of a misfit, but he went on to become a proud debater and graduate of Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where he also met the love of his life, Richie. From that moment forward, Jim and Richie shared 53+ remarkable years together, building a marriage and family rooted in love, loyalty, laughter, and an unshakable sense of adventure. Together they became true world adventurers, exploring mountains, rivers, cities, and quiet corners of the earth, always side by side and always ready for the next journey.

Jim carried with him a strong work ethic, an adventurous spirit, and a deep appreciation for God’s creation. That spirit led Jim and Richie to the mountains, mesas, and rivers of Northern New Mexico and Southwestern Colorado, where they built a life of purpose, hard work, and lasting memories.

He was also a respected financial advisor before that was the norm. He was known for his steady wisdom, sharp instincts, and thoughtful counsel. One of his passions was to encourage others, especially his family, to reach their goals and dreams.

In retirement, Jim enjoyed golf, continued adventures with Richie, close friendships, and time with his kids, Bill & Kira Clements, and grandchildren —Bailey Garcia, Jessie and James Clements. One of his greatest joys was watching them grow!

While his heart gave out, we are certain it was overflowing with love and joy.

Jim passed on July 26, 2026. Though his earthly journey has ended, we are certain his spirit continues under a “Wandering Star”.
