Jammie Ann Shim, born June 15, 1978, passed away on January 19, 2026, in San Juan County, where she was also born and raised.
Jammie was an incredibly intelligent and selfless woman who always put her family first. She carried a fiery spirit and an unwavering determination, always striving to get things done no matter the circumstances. Her strength, resilience, and loving nature defined who she was, and she consistently went out of her way to help others without ever expecting anything in return.
She was deeply loved by all who knew her and had many friends who cherished her kindness, loyalty, and unwavering support. Jammie’s presence brought comfort, strength, and warmth, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Leon Shim; her daughter, Monique Shim, and her partner, Austin; her son, Gabriel Shim, and his partner, Yalena Vaughn; her mother, Julie Phillips; her step-father, David Phillips; her uncle, Mark Schell; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who loved her deeply.
Jammie was preceded in death by her brother, Davey Phillips; her grandmother, Phyllis Schell; her father, James A. Wright; her uncle, Lucky Pike; along with other beloved family members and dear friends.
Jammie’s legacy of love, strength, and selflessness will live on through her family and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 30, 2026, at Farmington Funeral Home,2111 West Apache Street, Farmington, NM, at 3:30 PM.
