Janell Dearen-Glazner

March 25, 1935 — March 14, 2026

Farmington, New Mexico

Janell Dearen-Glazner was born on March 25, 1935 in Pioneer, Texas to Lera and Wiley Phillips. On March 14, 2026 she walked into glory, stepping fully into the presence of the Savior she loved so deeply. Her life was marked by an immense and unwavering faith. She boldly shared her love for Jesus with everyone she encountered, living not just in belief, but in daily, faithful walk with Him.

Janell married the love of her life, Wiley Joe Dearen, the moment he turned 18, on July 7, 1953 and together they shared 42 beautiful years of marriage. From that union came four children, whom she loved and cherished deeply. Known affectionately as "Bigmama," she considered being a mother her greatest joy and most meaningful calling, a role she embraced with her whole heart.

After Wiley's passing in 1992, Janell continued forward with strength and grace. She worked as a florist in Farmington, New Mexico, where her creativity flourished. A gifted artist and painter, she brought beauty into the world through her work, reflecting her vibrant and colorful spirit. She lived a life full of joy and laughter, choosing not to dwell on the negative but instead embracing the goodness in life.

In 1998, she found love again and married Robert Glazner, with whom she shared 20 years of love, adventure, and travel. Their time together was filled with cherished memories and meaningful experiences that brought her great happiness.

Janell was deeply loved by many and leaves behind a beautiful and lasting legacy. She is survived by her sisters Nancy Renfro and Judy Ray (husband Richard); her children Shirlyn Evans (husband Steve), Doug Dearen (wife Terry); Donnie Dearen (wife RaeLynn), Kenny Dearen (wife Shelly), as well as Robert's children Alan Glazner (wife Linda), Gary Glazner (wife Kelly), and daughter Elinda Henley. She also carries a legacy of 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, and her family continues to grow. She was preceded in death by her parents, each husband, her brother Jimmy Donnell Phillips, and her sister Janice Abrahamson.

While she will be dearly missed, we grieve with hope and confidence that she has seen Jesus face to face. The faith she carried throughout her life has now

become sight. Her testimony lives on in all of us-in the way we love, the way we believe, and the way we continue to walk in The Way, carrying forward the legacy she so faithfully lived.
