Jay Lynn Bomboy

September 19, 1947 — February 10, 2024

Jay Lynn (Foutz) Bomboy of Aztec NM passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age 76, in Bakersfield California with her daughters at her side. Jay Lynn was born in Bakersfield on September 19th, 1947, a birthday she shared with the love of her life Michael C. Bomboy who she was married to for 58 adventure filled years.

She was preceded in death by Michael, her parents Troy and Mary Belle Foutz, her sister Mary Lou Foutz, and brother Charles Foutz. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mya Lynn and Johnny Donaldson, and Shea Lea and Rob Klingenberg. Grandchildren: Joshua Harcrow, Justin Harcrow and wife Cass Brown, Trizstn Kuster, Myka Lively and husband Sean, JT Harcrow and wife Kimberly, Gage Kuster, Chelsea Townsend and husband Patrick, Addisn Hill and husband Michael. Great-grandchildren: Boston Townsend, Ryatt Ross, Wyatt Harcrow, Ryan Shea Lively, Robin Lively, Morgan Harcrow, Leeland Raysn Lively, Mason Harcrow. Sister: Ona Lee Foutz, Brother: Craig Foutz. Also, too many nieces, nephews, cousins, honorary children (who called her mom), and honorary grandkids (who called her grandma) to name without potentially missing someone.

Jay Lynn Married Michael Bomboy in 1966, she was a Foutz through and through and loved to tease that she married Michael because she was sure they were not related. Mike and Jaylynn traveled for the first few years of marriage, until settling in Bakersfield in 1973. They enjoyed a life full of friends, fun and golf for many years before moving back to their hometown of Farmington NM. Jay Lynn continued to travel back and forth between California and New Mexico to enjoy the Lives of all of her grandchildren and that usually included dozens of their friends she never missed any important life events in the lives of her grandkids and sometimes the timing had her running from one state to the other over night so she wouldn't miss anything. She was always the loudest supporter for all of them. She will be remembered in Aztec by many as the Tiger Grandma for her very VERY vocal support of three of her grandsons and all their teammates during football season, even our opponents knew who she was. Jay Lynn's life revolved around her family, especially her daughters and their families. Later in her life after her daughters grew up and then her grandchildren grew up her Great Grand Children became her focus. Idle hands was a foreign concept for her and consequently she was an avid craftsman of sewing, ceramics, painting and she was a master crocheter. She enjoyed bowling in leagues for many years and she was an avid golfer.

Jay Lynn lived a full to the rim life of love, care and adventure. She was for all intent and purpose the center of her family's lives, even if sometimes she put herself there. She leaves a hole that will never truly be filled again, she is loved, she is missed. She is also trying to get dad to come in off the lake and stop fishing for the night. So, they are both content once more.

Services are scheduled for 2:30pm Saturday March 2, 2024 at Farmington Funeral Home. Interment is to follow services at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
