Jayne Dahle Jacobs

October 12, 1943 - November 8, 2020

Jayne Dahle Jacobs, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister was called home peacefully to her Heavenly Father early on Sunday Morning, November 8, 2020. She was born in Torrance, California on Tuesday, October 12, 1943 to Stella Madge Nielson Dahle and Elbert Hill Dahle. She was raised by Madge and Voyd Dahle, her step-father and grew up in Salmon, Idaho. Jayne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and loved the gospel.

In November, 1961, while a Senior in High School, she met and fell in love with her lifelong sweetheart, Kenneth Leon Jacobs. Jayne and Leon were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on the 10th of December 1965. Jayne graduated from LDS Business School as a Stenographer.

During the late 1960’s and 1970’s they lived in Idaho Falls Idaho, North Ogden Utah, and Laurel Montana. In 1980 they moved the family to Sidney Montana where for 22 years Jayne worked side by side with her husband and taught their children while helping run the family grocery store. In 2002, Jayne and Leon moved to Farmington, New Mexico where they have been living ever since. Together, they raised a large family of six children, 23 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren who all love her very much.

Jayne was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. She was very proud of her family and loved to be with them and care for them. She had a bit of a sweet tooth and loved eating ice cream and other treats. Jayne was a champion card game player, who rarely lost a game in her life with her kids and grandkids. She taught her grandkids the same skills. Jayne fought a courageous battle with a variety of health problems during the last 31 years of her life that made it difficult for her to function physically. Her example of faith and perseverance through these challenges will stand as a monument and example to her posterity.

Jayne is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kenneth Leon Jacobs, and children Kendall (Ami) Jacobs, James (Becky) Jacobs, Kirk (Natalie) Jacobs, Crystal (Ervin) Trujillo, and Lynn (Naomi) Jacobs and daughter in-law, Regine Jacobs. She is also survived by her brother, Lynn Dahle and sister, Carolyn Walker; 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Hill Dahle and Stella Madge Nielson Dahle, her son, Randall Jacobs, and four grandchildren Jarod Jacobs, Ethan Jacobs, Megyn Trujillo, and Davy Jacobs.

Due to the pandemic and government restrictions, the family will be holding a private graveside service for immediate family members.

Jayne’s care is entrusted to Farmington Funeral Home, 2111 W. Apache St, in Farmington, New Mexico (505) 325-2211. You may share condolences with the family on our website: https://www.farmingtonfuneral.com/
