Juanita Salazar

February 28, 1951 — December 3, 2022

Juanita Carmen Salazar, at the young age of 71, loving mother of three, and adoring wife to husband Walter “Wally” Salazar passed away in the early evening on December 3rd at The San Juan Regional Hospital in Farmington, NM, after her long battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Juanita was born February 28th, 1951 in Farmington to Melisendro and Mary Sandoval and grew up surrounded by her large family who she loved dearly. She went on to Marry Wally on August 1st 1970, and had three crazy kids that kept her young at heart, twin boys and a daughter. Juanita was loved by all that came across her path, she had a undeniable loving soul that would warm your heart whenever you were in her presence. She loved crafting, cooking and creating a home for her family to gather. She will be greatly missed by all her loved ones but we know she will be ok, her family was by her side when she left this earth and her son was right there waiting for her when she arrived in heaven. Mama we love you!

Juanita is preceded in death by her son Frank Salazar. She is survived by her husband Wally Salazar, her son Tony Salazar and her daughter Misty Mussett. She had four grandsons Dylan Salazar, Ethan Salazar, Daxton Mussett and Mason Mussett, four granddaughters Christine Kline, Taylor Salazar, Mikayla Plunkett and Neveah Chavez and three great granddaughters, Ruby, Serenity and Hazlie.

 

Rosary will be held at 10am with the funeral services at 10:30am, Friday December 16th at St Mary’s Catholic Church, 2100 E 20th St, Farmington, NM 87401, with Deacon Jim. Burial will be immediately following at Greenlawn Cemetery, after the burial you are welcome to join the family for reception and luncheon at St Mary's Parish Center.
