February 22, 1964 — August 14, 2023

Farmington

Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Campbell, 59, of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on August 14, 2023, in Farmington, New Mexico. Kenneth was born on February 22, 1964, in Atchinson, Kansas, to parents Gilbert C. & Sophia (Burton) Campbell.

Known lovingly as “Kenny” or “Ken” by those who loved and cherished him, Kenneth attended Washington Grade School, Atchinson High School and received his associate degree in general Mechanics from San Juan College.

He had a variety of many jobs, making life-long bonds along the way to his final job as a supervisor for sanitation management before taking an early retirement. A hard worker through and through, there was never a time in his life when he didn’t have some project he was working on. He was an avid fan of Star Trek, the San Francisco 49ers, music, and his video games (especially Driver and Jet Force Gem). He also loved taking time to head out to the lake in his boat to catch a few fish.

Kenny always found time to hang out with his friends and family. Often host of barbeques and various feasts, or even a chill hangout with a cold one and a game of pool. He loved watching his grandsons, always smiling when they and other loved ones were around.

Kenny is preceded by his parents Gilbert C. & Sophia (Burton) Campbell, brothers Clarence L. Campbell, Clifford “Tip” G. Campbell, Phil S. Campbell, and Jimmy L. Campbell, sisters Sophia E. Boldridge, Gracie Campbell, and Shirley Downing.

Kenny is survived by his son Eric Campbell, daughters Kassaundra N. Campbell, and Christina D. Campbell, brother Gilbert C. Campbell, sisters Frances (Harl Jr.) Sampson, and Betty Winrow, grandchildren Cohen J. Campbell, Micah G. Campbell, including a host of various cousins, nieces & nephews.
